Challenge 88 Official Tangle IX

The challenge is the new official tangle IX, created by Rick and Maria. They presented this new tangle at the XI August Seminar. I definitely am not satisfied with my results.  I just could not get excited about these tiles.  They are missing something, maybe color or the wrong companion tangles.  What I do like about the challenge is my early entry to post it. Looking forward to all of your challenges and sure there will be many to inspire me to create a more snappy piece.
Hope you all have a wonderful week.

3 wonder examples of how beautiful IX is in a zentangled tile! They are really wonderful!

I think you're doing well with this challenge. The third one is (well that's what I think) so much better then the first. I really like it.

I disagree with you, all three your ZTs are beautiful. The companion tangles are great, and your tiles are so different from each other. I love them all. Perhaps you are not satisfied because you did not weave the lines from one piece in the other piece. But Still I think you did a great job on the challenge.

Nice work! Love the simplicity of work on each tile. Sometimes, as they say, "less is more". You are developing a wonderfully unique style. Be proud of it.

good job with your IX :) and i really like the last one!

i left a comment for you on your comment on my blog :) about the twinkling H2Os. yes, have your paper really wet. i even had water standing in places. lay your color down. let it spread a little, but not enough to dry. i used a Ranger mister bottle to spray the rubbing alcohol where i wanted the colors to run and blend. you can see the little mister bottle in the last picture in my post - it's blue, 3rd item from the left, sitting in front of the salt. let me know if you have other questions and just have fun with it! you can also use a water brush with these and brush color wherever you want it. i do that sometimes on tile when i don't want the whole thing covered, just parts of it.

Alice, thanks for the advise. I will get into it next week, I am busy with little tykes this week.
