Weekly Challenge 129 String Theory

The Diva Challenge was to use String 004 from the Tangle Patterns website.  The string is pictured above and that is how I began my tile.  However, I could not get my head into tangling today or yesterday.  The tile above was my third attempt to draw something outstanding and I ended up with something dull and typical.  Some days are just more difficult to produce from others.

Twinkling h20 Pears

Well, I completed lesson 2 in Dion Dior's Mastering Twinks.  This was quite a challenge for me because the painting technique is lose, wet and vivid.  Not the way I usually paint.  I did get through it and now I wonder what is ahead of me for lesson 3, hope it is easier.

I am in another ATC swap, this one is postcards.  The rule is no paint or markers, can only use black pen or colored pen.  The patterns are Diva Dance and Orbs.

Mastering Twinks

Twinkling H20 Paints
My first Mandela
Mandela Painted with H2)

Exercise using H20 colors

I am taking an online class from Dion Dior in Mastering Twinks.  These paints are beautiful, shimmering watercolors.  There are five lessons, I am still on lesson two.  Hopefully, this will enhance my painting ability and also use these paints with the Zentangle art.

Challenge 128 Two-Pencil String

Here is the Laura's weekly challenge.  It has been several weeks since I have participated in the weekly challenge.  I have been busy with my Grandchildren and other art projects and have put off doing some of the fun stuff like the weekly challenge.  Our challenge this week was a two pencil string.  I never did this before and wasn't sure what I wanted to do but somehow the stroke at a time worked as usual and it is like the design creates itself.  The patterns I used are Zander, Keeko, Knase and onamato.  The background lines were just filler so that the patterns didn't look too naked on the tile.  Hope you enjoy.  Have a fun summer.

Completed Nature Zen Swap ATC's

Here are the last two cards.  I use copic markers on some of the cards and added inktense pencils on top of the copics.  It worked well.  Still have some experimenting to do.

Nature Zen ATC's

I finished the ATC's for the Nature Zen Swap.  I will post two more.

ATC's with black background

Here are the same ATC's but with a black background.  See how much more vibrant the colors look sitting on black.

Colored ATC's

Here are my newest ATC's colored.  These are for the Nature Zen Swap.  I am almost done coloring the cards and will be able to send them out soon.  The cards were colored with copic markers and some with inktense pencils.  They are both vibrant, however, the copics work up faster than the inktense pencils.  I love the look of both.
I am really enjoying the zentangles and botanicals.  Will be doing some larger botanicals for my Granddaughters.
