Here is my latest piece made from the newest Zentangle tiles called 3Z's.  They come in white, tan and black.  The tiles shown are tan, with blue, brown ink and white pastel pencil.  I made this piece for the Winter Art Market at the Frankfort Public Library on November 25th.  The mat is a custom cut mat for the 3Z tiles.  I plan on designing three more and hoping the frames will arrive in time for the show.

Gave a beginner lesson to a dear friend tonight and look what she created.  Her tile looks wonderful, great line work and lots of depth and I like how she went out of the space with the Printemps and Poke Root tangles.  Looking forward to sitting down with her again soon to see what she will create next.

Here are two more Dingbatz.  Still need to create more, not completely satisfied with the finished project.

Here are my first attempts to designing a Zentangle art piece called "Dingbatz".  This is an ornamental design used in the type industry. They can be put at the end of letters or greeting cards, etc.  They basically are a design you can add to other art you create.  This has been designed by Maria Thomas from Zentangle.  She creates these in some of her illustrations and designs.  You fill them spaces with Zentangle tangles or your own tangles.
This is a lid to a jewelry box I am painting.  The painting and antiquing is completed on the top of the lid.  Next I will be painting to rest of the outer part of the box to make it look like burled wood.  The inside will be painted, decoupaged and adding some velveteen to the bottom.  Hopefully, I will finish this project soon.  I will post as the project progresses.  Comments welcomed.

6" x 3" Multi Media paper.  Background created with Distress Oxide Pigments.  Sea drawings was drawn with black micron pen.  Colored with prismacolor pencils and pastel pencils.  The pastel pencils worked easier than the prismacolor pencils.  The pigment did not seem to like the wax in the prismacolor pencil.  However, the pastel pencils took to the distress oxide pigment easily.
