Zen Gem Mandela
This is a sample Mandela I made to show the different color gems that can be drawn and added to a Mandela design. The gems can be different shapes and different colors drawn on tiles of various colors and sizes. The Mandela is drawn in black pen ink and the gems are colored with prismacolor pencils. The Zen Gems are all the rage right now with many of the Zentangle artists.

Mandala Competition
My friend Alice Hendron shares a group on FB with Ina Sonnemoser and Simona Arian Cordara called Tangle It! They are currently doing a competition with their group for a coloring book page of a Mandala. The Mandala above is my entry for the contest. The entry needs to be entered before January 10th and cannot be large than 6" x 9". Starting on January 10th members of the group will be able to vote for their favorite Mandala. The top three winners will have their Mandala published in their new coloring book and also receive a copy of the new coloring book to be released later this spring.
