Today I had the pleasure of teaching Jackie of "Creations by J. Sheri" in a Zentangle class. Jackie has been caught up in the Zentangle fever. Her Zentangle art is beautiful and precise. The tile above is just the tile she finished in class today, but her practice sheet of the patterns taught are near perfect, touch with the pen and paper shows her confidence and assertiveness. Jackie has a successful store on Etsy, she designs beautiful hand made mini bonsai trees from beads. Visit her store on Etsy.

Zentangle Class
Today's class was about color and paper. We experienced the use of Derwent Inktense Color Pencil, Dylusions Ink Sprays and water color on various papers. We experimented the application of water and color on various types of watercolor paper, including cold press, hot press, 90 Lb and 140 Lb. papers. I also taught three new tangle patterns, including the new pattern by Molly Hollibaugh, CZT, called ARUKAS, pictured above. The other two patterns taught were Rick's Paradox and Tripoli.

Arukas and Swarm
Making some time for drawing. My new workroom should be up and running in another week or so.
Need to set up a computer station, still have bins sitting on floor, don't know where I will put things.
Next week I will have the room painted and that will help. Anxious to get moving on my classes.
Will be taking my sketch book to Hawii, hoping to get lots of botanical ideas for Zentangle.
